Who am I?

My name is Roberto and I love my life. I was born in Mexico in 1975 and immigrated to San Diego at the age of 3 with my mother and father. I grew up in San Diego and graduated from San Diego High School in 1993. I served my country by joining the United States Marine Corps for an awesome 13 years (1994–2007). I moved to Riverside county and bought a home in Murrieta, California. I served as a military contractor for approximately 10 years. I transitioned to Menifee in 2015 and started two businesses. I decided to pursue my childhood dream to become an elementary teacher.

I am a father, a husband, and a pretty amazing friend. I have seen a lot in my lifetime and hope to share these life experiences with others as a teacher. I would like to share value in teaching our youth of tomorrow. I am always looking at how I can give back to our community and our children. My beliefs and accomplishments can be seen throughout my home, my ethic and my day to day behavior. I live towards a simple philosophy of living an ethical life.

My family can be constructed from my wife and kids but has been known to grow from friends as well. My family isn't always blood. I look forward to learning new concepts available and my goal is to learn as much as I can about the technology-based education system. My role as a team player aligns well with my passion to see everyone succeed as well as the ability to take the lead when chosen by my peers.

My MA in Education: Learning & Technology degree can be seen throughout this webpage as resources pages, integrated webpages and embedded technology links. Technology within the classroom has evolved to include much of the learning through educational applications and development of adaptable learning. I have learned how to use technology to improve the implementation of learning by using a universal design for learning. With these guidelines, educators can be focused to create an equitable classroom.

Where I am?

I am currently residing in Menifee, California, and accomplished in getting my Masters in Education with Learning & Technology while getting my Multiple Subject teaching credentials at Azusa Pacific University. I returned to school in the Spring of 2017 and have been attending school ever since.

I was able to use my Post 9/11 GI Bill and was able to use Vocational Rehabilitation to finish my dream to become employed as an elementary teacher. I am a life-long learner and do not plan on stopping anytime soon.

My goals as a teacher:

My goal as an effective teacher is to provide quality instruction where all students can be included and engaged in learning. I strive to have my students think critically as they bring together an understanding of community. I want to teach my students that learning never stops in the classroom and that self care is extremely valuable while progressing in life.

I want to ensure that my goals are transferrable to all students and can be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and tangible (SMART). I was able to attain a Learning and Technology Masters with a multiple subject teaching credential embedded to enter the 21st century classrooms and meet the requirement needed in a technology based environment.
